ElderHouse’s Dancing Under The Stars Competition Announces Star-Studded Local Leaders Lineup

ElderHouse, a leader in serving aging seniors and their caregivers, is proud to announce their only fundraiser of the year, the 7th Annual Dancing Under The Stars event. On Friday, June 10, the region’s most socially-minded residents and community leaders will gather together at one of the area’s most energetic benefit events.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, this distinguished signature event is back, offering a lively evening of cocktails, dinner, paddle raise, dancing, music, and a one-of-a-kind dancing competition. Modeled after the popular TV show, this exciting fundraiser partners local business leaders with award-winning professional dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Norwalk.

The distinguished lineup of 2022 ElderHouse dancers includes:

Michael Ippolito - Senior Managing Member, Veyron Global
Rhodie Lorenz - Co-Founder, JoyRide Cycling Studio

Lynley Middleberg - Brokerage Sales Mgr., William Pitt Sotheby’s Int’l Realty

Vinny Scicchitano - Owner, Accurate Auto Repair

Laura Silver - AVP, Marketing Manager, Fairfield County Bank

Andrew E. Starks, CFA - Assistant Vice President; Private Wealth Investment Management Specialist, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc.

Stephanie Webster - Editor in Chief and Founder, CTbites.com

The star dancers will be competing for coveted awards including:  Best Male and Female Performances, People’s Choice, and Best Friend to ElderHouse for the greatest fundraising effort. Dancers will be paired with Fred Astaire Professional Dancers Dusan Kostic, Manuel Trillo and Sanja Pavlovic.

“In addition to being a really fun event, this benefit is one of the region’s largest philanthropic nights of the season. As our only fundraiser, the evening raises critical support for our award-winning program of adult care, socialization and recreational activities for seniors,” said Denise Cesareo, ElderHouse Executive Director.

All proceeds will support the care and services ElderHouse provides to older adults and their family caregivers. ElderHouse is a not-for-profit adult day center serving Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Stamford, Wilton, Weston and Westport.

The benefit event takes place on Friday, June 10, 2022 at The Point at Norwalk Cove in Norwalk, CT.  Reservations begin at $200 per ticket or $3000 per table. Visit www.elderhouse.org/events for more information, to purchase tickets and make a pledge for the star dancers.

ElderHouse would like to thank its generous sponsors to date: Fairfield County Bank; Webster Private Bank; First County Bank; EFA Partners; Caposella, Cohen, LLC; Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Norwalk; and media partner New Canaan, Darien + Rowayton Magazine / Moffly Media.
