A Night of Poetry Honoring the Spirit of “Home”

The second annual evening of poetry “Home”, a nonprofit event hosted by the Ridgefield-based organization Art in Common will take place Thursday, February 15th, 2018 at the Ridgefield Library. The event, lasting from 7 – 9pm and will feature prominent speakers from diverse backgrounds, interpreting matters of life today through poetry.

Art In Common is a charitable organization, dedicated to promoting creativity, increasing community awareness around important social issues. It also aims to foster positive connections across diverse populations.

“We are very excited to host this event in an effort to reach out to the youth. Our goal is to break some of that isolation and create opportunities for connection; it doesn’t hurt to make the events it cool, fun and unforgettable!” says Aimee Jette, President and CEO of Art in Common, Inc.

Poets of all walks of life will gather around this event, celebrating a night of fun filled poems, expressed through the minds of different faiths and cultures. The night will be centered around understanding social issues in a language that is common amongst all, poetry. This event will bring to life those principles and provide an evening of entertainment and provocative thought.
