You’re invited to the WEBE108 Kids Fest on April 8!

Western Connecticut Health Network and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center experts will offer healthy living tips and information on programs and services for young families.

Join Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (Connecticut Children’s) at the 27th annual WEBE108 Kids Fest for a day of entertainment and valuable healthy living information. Experts from WCHN’s community hospitals — Danbury, New Milford, and Norwalk — and Connecticut Children’s will conduct blood pressure screenings and weights/height measurements. During “Ask the Expert” children will learn about healthy eating, injury prevention, and the importance of exercise and handwashing.

The Norwalk Hospital emergency medical services staff will provide tours of an ambulance too!

Kids Fest is an event designed for young families with entertainment and education. There will be music, fun activities, face painting, a caricature artist and more!

Please call 203-852-2250 for more information about WCHN and Connecticut Children’s booth at Kids Fest.

We hope to see you there!

Western Connecticut Health Network and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Pediatric Alliance

Western Connecticut Health Network and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center have launched a pediatric alliance to bring Connecticut Children’s highly specialized pediatric and neonatology care to WCHN’s community hospitals throughout western Connecticut. Through the alliance, children and their families have 24/7 access to readily available specialized and subspecialized pediatric care. Services include emergency department pediatric consultations and inpatient care at Danbury Hospital and Norwalk Hospital. Connecticut Children’s neonatologists will start caring for babies at each hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) this summer. The alliance will enhance quality outcomes and provide greater access to subspecialty pediatric care for families in the communities WCHN serves.
