The 6th Annual Norwalk Arts Festival Set for June 23rd

Mathews Park in Norwalk will be the location for the 6th Annual Norwalk Arts Festival on June 23 & 24, 2018. This festival is free and open to the public from 10 – 5pm Saturday and Sunday.

A juried fine art and fine craft festival, the event it will bring over 85 of the country’s top fine artists and craftspeople to Fairfield County, along with several outstanding performing artists. The children’s “Art Project”, a creative arts area, sponsored by Jerry’s Artarama, will round out the fun for visiting families. New this year is the Poet’s Corner, a stage dedicated to spoken word and will entertain will several authors and writers scheduled to read throughout the whole 2-day event. An expanded gourmet food court will delight with a wide variety of food trucks with offerings from American and International fare to Lobster. Live music and demonstrations are provided as well as special museum tours and exhibits and a special “Big INK” show at the Printmaking Center.

Hosted with the support of The Center for Contemporary Printmaking, Stepping Stones Museum, Mathews Mansion Museum, NicaPhoto, The Norwalk Parks Department, the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County and Jerry’s Artarama, this art festival will be a premier cultural event in the area. The artists will be the feature of this two-day festival located in a beautiful park setting nestled between the 2 Museums and CCP - a nationally recognized Art Center. The Festival is a juried event featuring 100 artists selected locally and from across the country. Their paintings, photography, drawings, prints, sculptures, mixed media, jewelry, ceramics, fiber, metal and glass pieces and original art is available for collecting. The Festival includes live musical performances, poetry on both days, as well as, free fun family activities, and a variety of food.

In the tradition of The Bruce Museum Art Festivals, this event promises a high quality arts experience for visitors of all ages and tastes. The Norwalk Art Festival is located in Mathews Park, 295 West Avenue, just off of exit 15S and 14N on I-95 in Norwalk.
