Photography and Sculpture 2018, Robert Baxter Solo Show in the Portside Gallery

The upcoming Photography and Sculpture Exhibition at the Rowayton Arts Center features the work of RAC Exhibiting Members who transform their seen and imagined worlds into compelling works of art.

The show opens on September 2^nd and will be on view through September 23^rd. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday 11 am to 5 pm and Saturday, 11 am to 2 pm.

The Opening Reception is Sunday, September 9^th, from 4-6 PM.

The Exhibition Chairs are Lisa Laible and Laure Dunn. The Exhibition Judge is Artist Joan Fitzsimmons who says, “My photographs examine the tenuous, ebbing boundaries between reality and perception.”

Running concurrently with the Photography and Sculpture Exhibition will be a Solo Show by Robert Baxter, a renowned painter, educator and illustrator in the Portside Gallery. Baxter’s work has been commissioned by the U.S Department of the Interior and is featured in many private collections.

For almost 60 years, the Rowayton Arts Center has been a cultural landmark in Norwalk. In the gallery--located at 145 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton, CT--regional artists can exhibit and sell their work.
