Norwalk Metropolitan Youth Ballet performs The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 15
On Saturday, December 15th at 1pm and 6pm, let the dancers of the Norwalk Metropolitan Youth Ballet take you on a magical journey which begins at the Stahlbaum’s annual Christmas party and takes you on an adventure through the land of snow and into the kingdom of sweets with Clara and her friends.
Experience the wonder of a professional ballet production right here at The Quick Center for the Arts in Fairfield where the children are the stars of the show. Both performances will be accompanied by a live orchestra, Connecticut Chamber Players, under the baton of Maestro Christopher Hisey.
Both original and traditional choreography has been set by NMYB ‘s Artistic Director, Mr. Adam James Holms, M.A. “The Nutcracker is an absolute must in the evolution of a ballet dancer. I have such fond memories of performing my way through the roles growing up myself. Now I have the joy and honor of sharing this wonderful tradition with my students. Add in the live orchestra, and Nutcracker dreams of our dancers are truly coming true.”
