The Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) presents a free art demonstration with Patti Mollica, “The Golden A–Z of Acrylics” on Sunday, January 13 from 2 to 4 pm. Patti Mollica believes that truly great painting is not about the “subject matter,” but rather the way an artist communicates beauty, sensitivity and integrity in whatever is painted. The urban landscapes of New York City provide her with endless opportunities to communicate this message, and it is the heart of her artistic interest. Her work is in the private and corporate collections of American Express, Sheraton Hotels, CBS and RCA Records, Penguin Press, Mellon Bank and many others. She is the author of the books Modern Acrylics, Color Theory for Painters, and Getting Started in Acrylics. Patti lives and works with her fellow artist and jazz musician husband in New York City and Nyack, New York. For more information visit pattimollica.com.
