Public Invited to Celebrate Summer Solstice Sunset on June 21st

The Norwalk Land Trust invites the public to celebrate the Summer Solstice Sunset—marking the onset of summer and the longest period of daylight in the Northern hemisphere--at the Farm Creek Preserve (21 Sammis St.) in Rowayton June 21 (Friday evening).  Reservations are not required and while there is no charge donations are accepted.

Farm Creek is a tidal estuary that provides 16 acres of habitat for wildfowl and other animal and plant life.

The 2019 version of the annual outing runs from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., offering live guitar music, wine, oysters and assorted finger foods.

As a volunteer-driven nonprofit, the Norwalk Land Trust has conserved 100 acres of open space at 30 tracts across Norwalk. A list of activities is available at www.norwalklandtrust.org.
