Norwalk Fire, Police and Public Works, Health and EMS Sponsor Annual Open House and Touch-a-Truck

The Norwalk Fire, Police and Public Works Departments along with Norwalk Hospital EMS and Norwalk Health Dept invite the community to a free Open House and Touch- a- Truck on Saturday, October 5 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Public Works Center and NFD Training tower on South Smith Street.

All the Departments will feature hands-on activities, give-aways and demonstrations for all ages. Children and adults will learn how the City departments prepare and respond to all types of events to keep residents safe and can explore different fire, police and public works vehicles.

In support of the Open Door Food Pantry in South Norwalk, all visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items; especially peanut butter, jelly, tuna, macaroni & cheese, pasta sauce, soup and kid-friendly snacks. Last year, approximately 800 pounds of food was collected.

Light refreshments will be provided, the event will be held rain or shine. For questions, please contact Norwalk Customer Service at 203-854-3200.
