Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Opening Reception for “About Women”

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in collaboration with Silvermine Arts Center will celebrate women's artistic contributions by opening a new exhibition titled, About Women, on April 2, 2020, and runs through June 21, 2020. Curated by Silvermine Gallery Director Roger Mudre, the exhibition will feature selected works by female members of the Silvermine Guild of Artists—where renowned artists, Elaine de Kooning, Alice Neel, Louise Nevelson, Faith Ringgold and others socialized, exchanged ideas, and critiqued each other's works for nearly a century— and provide an overview that will celebrate their diverse directions in subject matter and media and their contributions to contemporary art. The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will host an opening reception for the new exhibition on April 2nd at 5:30PM. Admission is free upon RSVP; please RSVP by March 27th.
