Rowayton Arts Center’s Painting en Plein Air- All Ages Workshop August 1

Rowayton Arts Center’s “Painting en Plein Air” All Ages Workshop August 1

The Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) is planning a “Painting en Plein Air” workshop for participants age 10 to 100 on Saturday, August 1 from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. This will introduce both new and more advanced artists to the beauty of painting “en plein air,” which translates to “outside” in French.

Everyone will first meet at RAC to receive instructions and guidance from RAC Instructor Lenny Moskowitz with a quick demonstration on how to paint an outdoor scene. Then the group will disperse around RAC’s exterior to work on their own artwork. Lenny will be on hand to give suggestions and since he’s a fan of working in a variety of mediums, feel free to bring your own drawing utensils, paints of any kind, water soluble crayons, etc.

The fee for the class is $60. There is a supply list on the RAC website and if you need an easel or table to work on, students can borrow them from the studio.

For more info and to register online, visit rowaytonarts.org/workshops or call (203) 866-2744 (x2).
