Finding Your Visual Language Workshop on October 2 at The Norwalk Art Space on Saturday, October 2, from 1-4pm
Are there recurring personal symbols in your life that represent your sense of love, peace, nature, death, rebirth, hate or family?
In this 3-hour workshop, Duvian Montoya will help tap into your inner language of symbols to create a foundation for your artistic practice and self expression. We will reference historical artworks from Diego Rivera, Paul Gauguin, Frida Khalo and current artists like Mekeline Thomas, Ian Ingram and Jahmane.
We will also use The Glossary of Painting Exhibition in the main gallery of TNAS as inspiration and a staring point for discussion. We will be writing, drawing, meditating and painting.
