Character Design in Gouache at The Norwalk Art Space on Fridays January 27 through March 31 at 3:45 pm
Students will develop their own graphic style in a medium often used by illustrators in order to bring a character of their own to life. Students will learn how to create figures of all shapes and sizes, be introduced to the different styles of popular illustrators and animators like Ethan Becker, Hayao Miyazaki, and Takeshi Obata, and develop a concept for their own character's personality and the world they live in. "How will your character's appearance relate or contrast to who they are?" will be an ongoing question in this course. Free and open to students 13-18 yrs of age | 12 spots | Registration required
