“Carousel: A Concert delivers on all levels!”

Playing to a packed house at the Norwalk Concert Hall, the performance of Carousel: A Concert, was a resounding success on all levels! With the hall at the largest capacity since COVID, audience members shared that it was the “Best evening out that I’ve had in a very long time. The acting, music and singing were all sublime.”

Co-produced by Norwalk Symphony Orchestra and New Paradigm Theatre, this is the third collaboration on a Broadway performance for both organizations. “We are a true partnership on all fronts” commented Sandra Miklave, Executive Director of the Symphony. “Each organization brings its strengths together to create this unique experience in Fairfield County.”

Both groups additionally partnered with the Domestic Violence Crisis Center to address the topic of domestic violence, as it is portrayed in the show as well as continues to manifest itself in so many ways in our world today. Kristin Huffman, Artistic Director and Founder of New Paradigm Theatre states “I think in the end, audiences saw a very "real" version of this show and how it applies to their real world, and was swept away by the gorgeous score played by the orchestra.  With the partnership with DVCC, if they end up needing help or if someone they know needs help in an abusive situation, they also know where they can go for this help in our community.”

Planning for the next collaboration for the 2023-2024 season have begun! Stay tuned for the future with another amazing collaboration between these two organizations.
