Antares Capital Invests in Norwalk ACTS' Collective Impact Work

Norwalk ACTS is proud to receive a grant from Antares Capital in support of its community work aimed at enriching and improving the lives and futures of all Norwalk children and youth, cradle to career.

The partnership with Antares Capital began last November with an initial financial investment and has grown to include in-kind support of backpacks and volunteer help at Norwalk ACTS’ Back to School Night at Stepping Stones Museum for Children and involvement in the organization’s leadership committees.

Norwalk ACTS is a member of the national StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network, using the Collective Impact approach to accelerate progress and sustain success in education. Together, the Strive Network impacts over 8 million students nationwide.

Locally, Norwalk ACTS brings together key stakeholders throughout the community around a common agenda, using shared data to form action plans which result in measurable impact on the lives of Norwalk children and families. Several current initiatives include ensuring children have a meaningful summer learning experience to prevent summer slide and preparing children to enter Kindergarten ready to learn by addressing academic, social/emotional and wellness issues.

“As a financial services firm, we appreciate first-hand the importance of utilizing data to drive accountability and inform strategy. We are pleased to support Norwalk ACTS, whose members work tirelessly throughout our community to achieve significant and lasting social change,” said Charlie Allred, senior managing director with Antares.

On December 5, 2017, Norwalk ACTS will be hosting a quarterly Community Convening from 9-11 am at Stepping Stones Museum for Children, open to the public. The meeting will provide the opportunity to network, share ideas and look at data to better understand our community and the needs of our children.
