Kids Need School Physicals? Norwalk Health Dept Can Help

Get your childn's school physical exam at the Norwalk Health Department

(NORWALK, Connecticut) – Back-to-school season is fast approaching, and the first day of school will be here before we know it. If your child needs a physical exam for school this year, the Norwalk Health Department can help.

If you have insurance and a regular health care provider, you should contact your child’s doctor now to schedule an appointment for a school physical. However, if you have trouble finding an affordable, timely option elsewhere, the Health Department is offering affordable school physicals on August 26 and 27 and on September 3, between 1 pm and 5 pm. Examinations include all necessary screening tests, laboratory tests, and vaccines.

Call the Health Department to make an appointment or for more information at (203) 854-7776. Appointments are limited, and priority is given to Norwalk residents. Please note that appointments are reserved for physicals required for school entry, not sports physicals.

In addition to school physicals, childhood immunizations are available upon request for children of all ages.
