Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Il Posto Sono!

Three questions with Rebecca, founder of Il Posto Sono.

What is your best selling product/service?

Our food. We use lots of ingredients imported from Italy as we are an Italian restaurant. Pizza flour Caputo and farro wheat pasta the favorites of our VIPs. Chicken and Porkchop Scarpello is very good too. The Gelato is made by our neighbor in New Canaan- Gelatisimo.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services), and can you name them?

Local businesses are used as many as possible. I believe in helping the neighborhood. We use Pagano's for our seafood and Bobby Bloom clams for our clams. In addition, we use WB Mason for most of our disposables and, of course, liquor and food delivery from a variety of vendors. W always support C-Town last-minute shopping.
