City of Norwalk Holiday Schedule for Recycling and Garbage

Reminder about Recycling and Holiday Schedule

Christmas is this week, and the City of Norwalk reminds residents of what is recyclable following the holiday.

  • Cardboard is recyclable but must be inside the blue toter. Loose cardboard outside of the toter will NOT be collected.
  • Wrapping paper is recyclable as long as it is not metallic or does not contain glitter.
  • Ribbon is NOT recyclable.
  • All materials must be placed loosely inside the blue toter. Do NOT place materials inside plastic or paper bags in the toter. Do NOT pile items on top of the toter.

Additionally, residents are reminded that there will be no garbage and recycling collection services by the City of Norwalk on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25. Garbage and recycling normally collected on Friday will be collected on Saturday, December 26.
