Norwalk's New Bike Rack is Whistleville!

In honor of National Bike Month and Bike to Work Week, the City of Norwalk installed a brand-new bike rack in the Whistleville section of the City, located in South Norwalk on the corner of Ely Avenue and Lowe Street.

The bike rack is part of our new artistic bike rack collection! The bike rack is in the shape of a train whistle due to the history of the neighborhood, which was nicknamed “Whistleville” because of its proximity to the train station and the sounds of approaching train whistles.

As of last month, Whistleville became the City’s newest historic district, so this bike rack is an excellent staple of that area and quickly became a hit, receiving attention from bicyclists as soon as the installers finished!
