Person-to-Person Honors Stamford Philanthropist

Patricia C. “Pat” Phillips Receives Transforming Lives Award from Person-to-Person

Stamford resident Patricia C. “Pat” Phillips was honored by Person-to-Person with the inaugural Transforming Lives Award last week at the agency’s annual fundraising event, the Transforming Lives Luncheon.

Pat Phillips joined the P2P Advisory Council in 2005 and was invited to become a Board member in 2006. In 2008, she served on the agency’s Capital Campaign Committee which successfully met its fundraising goals at the height of the recession. Over the years, Pat has hosted numerous friend-raisers to advance the P2P mission and expand awareness of the agency’s programs and services. She currently serves on the agency’s Development and Finance Committees, and this year was honored by being named a Person-to-Person Director Emeritus.

According to P2P Executive Ceci Maher, Pat was the perfect choice to receive the first-ever Transforming Lives Award. “She is a committed philanthropist and nonprofit guru who has been a strong advocate for Person-to-Person in the Stamford community. Pat has been honored numerous times in the public and private sectors for her lifelong efforts on behalf of domestic violence survivors and the homeless. Her dedication to the work of P2P in assisting low-income individuals and families in need of a helping hand is reflected in her continued and tireless service. We are fortunate to have Pat supporting the Person-to-Person mission and this award recognizes her efforts on behalf of the agency.”
