Cub Scouts Visit Stamford EMS

On Thursday, November 9th Stamford EMS received a visit from The Boys Scouts of America, Pack 1227 from The Basilica of Saint John the Evangelist.

Twelve scouts, their pack leader, and their parents learned about CPR, choking and bleeding control.  The group also participated in activities that demonstrate ‘hands-only’ CPR and how to help someone that is bleeding.

“Stamford EMS is happy to share information with scouts about how to help someone in need,” said Jessica Anderson, Stamford EMS Lieutenant and Academy Training Coordinator.  “Today’s presentation and activities will prepare these young citizens for what to do in an emergency.”

If you would like to arrange a visit for your troop at Stamford EMS, please contact Jessica Anderson at 203-252-2193.
