Andrew Whittingham is now Chairman of the Board of Directors
Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) announced the appointment of Andrew Whittingham of Stamford, CT as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Whittingham succeeds Richard Jabara who completed his term as Chairman. WCHN also announced the appointment of Daniel McCarthy as Vice Chair, and Edward Mahony as Secretary.
Mr. Whittingham, a well-known business leader and philanthropist, is President and CEO of C.A.W.L. Developments Inc., a private investment firm in Stamford, CT. Prior to that position, Mr. Whittingham spent numerous years as Vice President of Sales for Joint Medical Products Corporation (a division of Johnson & Johnson), and VP of Sales & Marketing for Surgical Dynamics, Inc. (a division of US Surgical Corp). He and his family are well-regarded for their generous philanthropic gifts across southwestern Connecticut, particularly in healthcare. The Whittingham Cancer Center at Norwalk Hospital is named in honor of the family legacy.
Mr. Whittingham has been on the board of Norwalk Hospital since 2008 where he held the titles of Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice Chairman of the Board. In addition, he has served the organization well in various leadership positions on the Finance, Strategic Planning, Technology, and Governance committees.
