Helping Children Living in CT Who Have Been Separated from their Parents at the Southern Border on Sunday, April 28

Regina Moller, Executive Director of Noank Community Support Services, will be speaking with Norwalk Democrats about the services they provide to children living in Connecticut who have been separated from their families at the Southern border. She will be joined by elected officials at the District D Democratic Committee’s Spring fundraiser on Sunday, April 28, at the home of Tish Gibbs and former Mayor Bill Collins, 32 Allen Road, Norwalk.

The public is invited to attend. The event will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. The suggested admission is $25. District D Treasurer Robert Hard said donors will complete an Individual Contributor Certification Form, available at the event.

The committee also will hold a special silent auction, with full proceeds going to support the Noank Community Support Services shelter for unaccompanied migrant children under age 18, the only program in Connecticut sheltering children who have been separated from their families at the Southern border. These children have left their countries due to severe threats and violence and their journeys to the U.S. have been long, traumatic and dangerous.

“We are especially pleased that Regina Moller has agreed to speak at our Spring fund-raiser, an opportunity to demonstrate how standing with one another can create a stronger Norwalk” said Donna King, co-chair with Kay Anderson of the District D Committee.
