Norwalk Grassroots Tennis & Education Selects Wilton Resident for Leadership Team

Norwalk Grassroots Tennis & Education named Sean Cahill, Principal and Managing Director of Avison Young’s Fairfield/Westchester office, as Vice Chairperson of the non-profit organization.

Chairperson Caron Palder, Secretary Mark Magnusen and Treasurer David Van Gessel are also on the organization’s Board of Directors. Betsy McNeil serves as the Executive Director of NGTE, while David Kimani is the Senior Director of Tennis.

Founded in 1995 by Art Goldblatt, Norwalk Grassroots Tennis & Education is a youth development organization dedicated to supporting underserved children in Norwalk with programs based on the ideals of tennis legend Arthur Ashe. NGTE has received a 4-star ranking from the United States Tennis Association for excellent tennis and education programming. The organization has grown from serving approximately 25 students when it was founded to nearly 500 in 2018.

Cahill, a Wilton resident, is a long-time member of Norwalk Grassroots Tennis & Education.

The organization will hold its annual Grand Slam Gala on Saturday, March 30, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Mora Mora in Norwalk. Todd Martin, CEO of the International Tennis Hall of Fame and formerly ranked No. 4 in the world, will be a special guest at the event.
