Is there an organization in town that makes you feel good?
The Rowayton Civic Association (RCA) coordinates so many local events and town get-togethers that bring people together, whether you're a newcomer or someone who has lived here for many years. It's a wonderful way to stay in touch with the community. The mission of the RCA is to enrich the lives of Rowayton residents and neighbors by providing cultural programs, educational events and supporting local community initiatives.
Where do you go for inspiration and creativity?
As a writer, I find that sitting quietly at one of the many beaches and waterfronts we have here in Norwalk always provides lots of inspiration. To me, it's like staring at a blank piece of paper. I wait as ideas flutter past, or watch whatever activities are going on around me. Sometimes I study people or listen to conversations. Other times, I imagine conversations.
What do you love about your community?
We know all of our neighbors and over the years have shared meals, gatherings, good news and bad news. We've watched out for them, taken in their newspapers and mail when they were away, congratulated them, and sent both food and condolences, just as they have done for us. We feel lucky to be a part of this community.

In addition to a busy writing schedule, Page is a designated Teaching Artist for the Connecticut Office of the Arts, for whom she leads arts-infused workshops and residencies throughout the state and beyond. Her fun and engaging programs are designed to encourage and inspire even the most reluctant writers.
