Shear Genius Salon Celebrates Their 10 Year Anniversary
Shear Genius Salon has some exciting news to share: the salon is celebrating their 10-year anniversary during the month of February 2019. Being in business for a decade is no small accomplishment, and the Sher Genius team wants to share their enthusiasm and appreciation with the Norwalk community. To do so, the salon will be hosting a chic anniversary party on March 2nd, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., complete with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and raffles to win products and services. The first 10 to arrive will receive a free gift courtesy of Shear Genius.
"I opened Shear Genius Salon at the start of the recession in 2008. Although it was a challenging time to start a business, I felt it was the right time for me," said Brooke Capriotti, the salon's owner. "Having already been in the area for 5 years, I received a great deal of support from my existing clientele. For that reason, my focus has always been on giving back to the community that has given so much to me."
That community focus has led to Shear Genius' participation in Relay for Life as well as holding fundraisers for breast cancer research. The salon is also turning their 10-year anniversary into an opportunity to give back. Everyone who brings in a non-perishable food item during the month of February will receive 10% off of a service. As a way of showing gratitude for their good fortune, Shear Genius will donate these items to Person to Person in Norwalk, CT, a community organization providing emergency assistance for basic needs as well as other support to individuals and families as they move toward financial stability.
In addition to giving back, Capriotti and her team have also committed to providing top-notch service to every client who walks through the door. Shear Genius offers the newest and best services and treatments and receives consistently great reviews. Janet Crystal who followed Brooke from her previous position commented, "Brooke followed her heart and her dream 10 years ago and I followed right along with her.
