Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Sew Create & Celebrate!
Three questions with Jane M. Schimmel, founder of Sew Create & Celebrate.
Why did you start your business?
We started Sew Create & Celebrate in 2008 to teach the joy of creative sewing for fashion, crafts & home decor to all ages - and to host awesome sewing and craft birthday parties!
Finish this sentence in regard to your business. "I wish I could…"
I wish I could reach more kids (and adults) to help them discover the fun of sewing. It can be very helpful for those with special learning needs.
What is your best selling product/service?
Learn to sew on the machines in our studio is our most popular thing. But we can also travel to your school or meeting place for hand sewing, Girl Scout or enrichment programs, and custom theme birthday parties.
