Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Mayor Harry Rilling to Tour South Norwalk's Downtown, Visit Restaurants with Outdoor Dining

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Mayor Harry Rilling, and City of Norwalk’s Chief of Economic Development Jessica Casey will tour South Norwalk’s Downtown to see how local restaurants and businesses have prepared to reopen under Phase 1.

Since May 20, 46 restaurants have opened outdoor dining in Norwalk. The City of Norwalk recently installed concrete barriers on Washington Street, blocking off parking spaces on the road, to accommodate more space for outdoor dining. During Wednesday’s downtown tour, Lt. Governor Bysiewicz and Mayor Rilling will also hear from Matt Storch, owner and head chef of Match, about the restaurant’s reopening plans. The tour of downtown South Norwalk will begin at the corner of Washington and North Water streets.
