Why Small Businesses Matter Reimagined

Small businesses matter - now more than ever. They are answering the call with innovation and determination like never before.

We hope you join us in supporting them by sharing their story far and wide and shopping local! We are thankful to Fairfield County Bank for their continued support and making this series possible.

Three questions with Nancy Mctague-Stock, founder of StudioMinerale.

What do you want the community to know? Are there ways for the community to help you and other local businesses to prosper?

With all our communities hurting, it has been a challenging time indeed for small businesses, particularly those of us who tend to cater to special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and weddings! Many of us as sole proprietors were not eligible for unemployment or PPP monies, so we have had to try our best to stay afloat!

Are you offering any new products, or ways for customers to purchase your products or services that are popular during this crisis?

Covid's arrival has made many of us who love meeting new clients in person a bit challenging! Until I can resume in-person trunk shows safely, Studio Minerale has continued to pivot to online sales as much as possible, and I am working increasingly with clients via Facetime and Zoom. With Zoom, I can have a private meeting and show samples of what I can create for a client, and they can be a part of the process! They can even show me an outfit they need something for right online, which is great! I also love to partner with other businesses, where we showcase one another's work via Instagram!

Please share the ways your business is adapting to keep your customers and employees safe in addition to the standard guidelines

I am increasingly working with smaller budgets, so my pricing generally starts from $85 for gemstone and 14kgf earrings to necklaces starting at $250. I am happy to create works in 18k gold for those who are interested in higher-priced pieces too.

Most works are one of a kind, but I love to do wedding parties, where I create matching, special earrings, or bracelets for the bridesmaids!

My turn around time is generally two weeks, often sooner. I gift wrap each purchase and am happy to deliver locally, but I also use Norwalk's own USPS for mailing.

I can't wait to create special gifts for upcoming events and early holiday purchases! Customers can feel free to purchase directly from my e-commerce site at https://studiominerale.com, or DM me on Instagram at StudioMinerale!!

From NOW through Sept. 15, I'm offering 15% off any Norwalk resident's paid orders to say THANK YOU, NORWALK! All you need to do is email me at nancy@studiominerale.com, and I will process your purchase myself so you will be able to get the discount.

Special shout out to David Genovese at Baywater Properties, for being such an amazing landlord during this COVID time, to Beadworks in South Norwalk, who always makes my life easier, and to you, HamletHub, for always looking out for your small businesses!!
