You're IT TPMConnect!

Four questions with Kathryn Hebert, President, and CEO of TPMConnect.

Why did you start your business?

I recently retired from the City of Norwalk after 33 years as the Director of Transportation Mobility and Parking. They offered a retirement package that I had to consider. During my tenure and career, I created and implemented many transportation mobilities and parking initiatives that had a large positive impact on the economy, community development, and placemaking throughout Norwalk and the region.

The reason for starting my business is that I wanted to continue to work in these industries through diverse partnerships and connected verticals to ultimately create awesome communities and transportation systems for all demographics through successful project management services and advice.

What is your bestselling product/service?

Project management, connecting vertical industries with tech and visual and artistic placemaking to provide seamless, easy to use, easy to find, convenient mobility options and to integrate these options within the context of economic and community development. My ultimate goal is to create communities working with all demographics and industries where people want to work, live, and visit.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services), and can you name them?

I started this business in the fall of 2020, and it has been a great ride so far. I am partnering with parking, consultants, government, tech, and public transportation organizations. I am looking forward to working with all groups to create connected neighborhoods to mobility hubs in and around the community as well as in and out of the cities and towns.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

I am always reimagining my business and myself. We live in a world now that you must be flexible and agile. And be able to work together with different diverse groups. I love listening to ideas and making things happen.
