Four questions with Frank Taddei, founder of Blueberry Hill Antiques and Auctions.
Why did you start your business?
We started our business during the midst of covid because Ernie had just left the hotel industry and I had just left the restaurant industry due to the pandemic. We have previously had a retail location in Old Saybrook and have always had an affinity with vintage and antique goods, so we both felt it was time to follow our hearts and the budding industry of online auctions. It was a great first year and hopefully can show the surrounding community that covid is over and it's time to start getting things back to normal!
What is your best-selling product/service?
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
We support Auction Ninja, Black Rock Galleries, and every adjacent eatery during lunch breaks!
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
We are so new we have not yet reimagined our business plan, however, I have imagined our business growing into a much larger communal presence within the area as a local hang out spot for vintage and antique goods, from old records to furniture, to collectibles, and oddities you’ll find your thrill at Blueberry Hill!
