Shop small, do big things for your community

You're IT MBPC Team of Sotheby's International Realty!

Four questions with Bob Virgulak Jr., realtor at MBPC Team of Sotheby's International Realty.

Why did you start your business?

Ten years ago my business partner obtained his real estate license with the intent of helping people find their dream homes. It didn't take long for me to realize that he enjoyed the process of working with people to identify their needs and desires and then finding the perfect property that fits their budget. In 2017, I joined him and we created our partnership. From day one, we've focused on putting the customer experience first! I also enjoy the friendships that I've made along the way.

In addition to helping people find residential real estate, we also help businesses find the perfect location for their warehouse or retail store. I take great pride in my work! I am a fiduciary, which means that we are legally obligated to act in my clients' best interests. Whether you are looking for a new home or a new commercial space, stop by our offices at 20 Fitch Street, Norwalk to talk about real estate.

What is your best-selling product/service?

It's no secret that the real estate market has been on fire for the last several years. It's also no secret that the government is doing what it can to slow things down to prevent a recession by raising interest rates. That being said, the market is still doing well, and prices/values have maintained themselves quite well. Fairfield County has been particularly busy with commercial real estate. The area seems to be waking up with many small businesses opening, moving to bigger, more visible spaces.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We rely on many area businesses to help support the work we do with our clients. From some terrific area attorneys, movers, storage facilities, painters, builders, and more. Pimenta's painting has proven time and time again to be dependable, timely, and affordable. Gustavo Pimenta is a true gentleman, and won't leave a job until the customer is completely satisfied! Attorney Sharon Jones, of Jones Washburn-Gonzalez LLP., has been a terrific addition to the offerings we provide to our clients. Sharon is a true professional who loves what she does. She's a terrific communicator and is always willing to go above and beyond to make the client's experience as pleasurable and seamless as humanly possible!

Have you reimagined your small business?

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we've used technology to aid in our ability to schedule and host virtual showings. The addition of a 3D camera has given us access to provide crystal clear, virtual tours of our listings. These tours give our clients the ability to "walk-through" a home, a building, or even a vacant lot...without having to expose themselves to the outside world. We've sold several properties without the client ever actually being on the property until after closing!
