Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT SoundbodyX!

Three questions with Miles Harker, founder of SoundbodyX.

Why did you start your business?

We started our business to bring health and wellness to our Norwalk area community members and their children with our kid's classes. Our program is focused on transformation and long-term fitness. Our business is happy to have Norwalk homeowners and long-time Norwalk residents in our employment.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our best-selling service is small group semi-private training and weight loss transformation. This program is for community members who want a personalized boutique environment to work on their fitness and nutrition goals.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

Along with being thrilled to have several local business owners as members at our studio, we used Gilbert’s Painting, PK Build (Construction), and Fullam’s Windows (Window Treatments) to renovate and update our space. We welcome collaboration with local fitness/nutrition-associated businesses anytime!

Miles and his team would like to nominate Gilbert’s painting to be featured next!
