Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Msquash!

Three questions with Carlos Blanco, Marketing Manager at Msquash.

Why did you start your business?

MSquash started with the mission to build champion people through the sport of squash. MSquash is a high-performance institute bringing you squash knowledge from our Australian, Belgium, English, Egyptian, and many more backgrounds that form part of our team. We cover everything from starter squash, squash lessons, squash clinics, matchplay, physical training, sports physical therapy, tournament coaching, athlete testing, swing analysis, and so much more. MSquash started in Port Chester, NY in 2018; later expanding to Norwalk, CT in 2021.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our best-selling product/service is our squash clinics. We offer them every day for all levels and players: from 3-10 year-olds learning the game at our starter clinics, teenagers trying to be top in the country or simply playing as a social sport, young adults playing college squash or just playing for a good workout, to our adult community getting a sweat in our adult clinics.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We use a wide range of products and services from small businesses. We partner with SoNo Harbor Deli & Cafe (MSquash SONO) and Noches De Colombia (MSquash Port Chester) as our main lunch places for our summer camp players. Last but not least, we have partnered with Grit Ninja for sporting events.

Carlos and his team would like to nominate Grit Ninja to be featured next!
