Backyard Chicken Keeping: August 29th at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture
Gather all the basic know-how a beginner needs to produce delicious eggs in a backyard, and have fun while doing it. Craig Haney, our Livestock Farm Director, has been raising healthy, happy chickens outdoors—along with sheep, pigs, turkeys and more—for more than 20 years. Join him to learn the ins and outs of keeping chickens including the basics of brooding (raising) chicks, general chicken care, housing, health considerations and feed. Most suitable for ages 12 and up.
Tickets to this Saturday program include the cost of admission. You will not need to pay an additional admission fee.
