B. NEW POSITION

RESOLVED, that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education creates one full- time administrative positon of Director of Special Education effective February 1, 2017.

C. LEAVE OF ABSENCE

RESOLVED, that Rukmini Bhalla, a School Psychologist in the District, is hereby granted a leave of absence from her position effective February 1, 2017 and until June 30, 2017 to fill the position of Interim Director of Special Education.

D. INTERIM POSITION

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education hereby appoints Rukmini Bhalla as Interim Director of Special Education, from February 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017, at an annual salary of $150,000 (prorated).

E. TEACHER AIDES WHO WORK AS SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

RESOLVED, that Teacher Aides who work as substitute teachers be paid at their hourly teacher aide rate.

BE IT RESOLVED, that, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools and the Committee on Special Education, the Board of Education reviews the following classifications and arranges for the following placements and/or services for cases numbered: 201617, 011314, 111314, 281516, 071213, 101314.

B. APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves the appointment of Arms Acres for professional services, to provide a Hospital Tutoring Program for the 2016-17 school year, at a maximum of $400.

VIII. BUSINESS AFFAIRS

A. APPROVAL OF TRANSPORTATION CONTRACT

RESOLVED, that, upon the recommendation of the Assistant Superintendent for Business, the Board of Education approves the transportation contract with Southern Westchester BOCES for the 2016-17 school year and authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to sign said contract.

B. ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education accepts the donation of $3,854.68 from Pleasantville SEPTA.
