Come celebrate the blossoming of arts, culture on July 12 in Harwinton

The Northwest Connecticut Arts Council cordially invites you to a Garden Party to Celebrate the Blossoming of Arts & Culture on Saturday, July 12, from 4-7 p.m. at the historic home & gardens of Victoria Elliot of William Pitt Sotheby's Int'l Realty & Dr. Marvin McMillen of Harwinton, CT. Tickets are $65 per person and $55 for Arts Council Members. A $100 Benefactor Ticket includes pre-party talk with Karen Bussolini "Jazzing Up the Garden with Color & Contrast"

Ticket includes garden tours, three-course meal, plein air demonstrations and music throughout the garden. While enjoying the gardens, guests will be able to watch several plein air painters creating new works and enjoy live music throughout the garden.

The historic and intriguing gardens, with fountains, sculptures and lush floral settings will be the subject for the plein air painters whom guests will be able to watch in action at the party. This year's painters include Catherine Elliott, Collette Hurst, Janet Iffland, Joan Jardine, Kathleen Kelly, Victor Leger, Deborah Leonard, Jim Laurino and Leslie Watkins.

Guests will also be treated to music throughout the gardens performed by Joyful Noise choruses, a Litchfield Jazz Camp ensemble, and Thomasina Levy, 2005/2006 CT State Troubadour.

There will also be artwork by the plein air painters available for purchase.

Our special guest will be Karen Bussolini, garden photographer, author, & eco-friendly garden coach. Join her at 3:30 in advance of the party for a special talk "Jazzing up the Garden with Color & Contrast." Talk included with Benefactor Ticket ($100).
