The combined talents of Chef Domenico Iovieno, Restaurateur Walter Cappelli and Chef / Restaurateur Enzo Bruno have gathered under one roof to create Table 104 Osteria & Bar.In August of 2014 this unassuming restaurant, bar and event venue located on Long Ridge Road, outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Stamford, began attracting a local crowd of hungry consumers looking for honest food amid a stylish and social atmosphere, sans the posturing and fanfare. Today, Table 104’s loyal followers continues to grow, while the restaurant stays true to who they are.
The long time restaurant space, once dated and lack luster, has been transformed into a vibrant, spacious and urban’esque restaurant and bar framed in reclaimed barn wood, large bay windows and dangling Edison light bulbs. Dark wood furnishings are made warm and comfy with black leather cushions, and the curved white marble top bar looks out onto a breezy patio enveloped by vibrant flowers boxes and a canopy of lights. The wood-fired oven with its brick façade is the centerpiece of the dining room, allowing patrons an open view of the pizzaiolo in action.
Table 104 Osteria & Bar offers fresh, cooked from the heart comfort food which gets many of its cues from classic American and Italian fare. Chef Domenico Iovieno, formerly of Z Hospitality Group andBarcelona Restaurant in Fairfield County, together with Walter Cappelli, a seasoned restaurateur schooled in Hospitality Management and several years with the Barcelona Restaurant group throughout Fairfield County, and Enzo Bruno, the owner of Stamford’s popular upscale Italian restaurant, Madonia, have all come together to create a menu that speaks to their favorite foods and preparations; Sicilian arancini with Bolognese sauce; grilled octopus with shaved celery, fingerling potato salad and citrus vinaigrette; Brussels sprouts salad with pine nuts, raisins and pecorino; California panzanella with tomatoes, avocado, red onions and grilled croutons; Wagyu kobe burger topped with cheddar and caramelized onions; Rapini wood-fired pizza with house made pork sausage, broccoli rabe leaves, mozzarella di bufala and harissa; seared Icelandic salmon served with wilted kale and fennel-radicchio slaw; penne rigate tossed with blackened chicken, roasted peppers and ligurian pesto; and bistro style hanger steak with roasted fingerling potatoes and asparagus.
A main feature of the restaurant is its private lower level event space with private bar and fireplace. The space can accommodate 45 seated and up to 60 people reception style. A charming outdoor patio seats 30+. Table 104’s wine list is a well thought out selection of Italian varietals, global favorites and some lesser known wine makers that produce exquisite wines. On Monday bottles of wine are offered at a 50% discount. An extensive and creative craft cocktail menu changes seasonally and “Social Hour” food and drink specials are offered Tuesday-Friday from 4-6:30 PM. Private parking lot is available, as is valet parking on weekends, during special events and holidays. Sunday Brunch is special at Table 104, offering a delectable buffet and made to order entrées, as well as live acoustic music throughout the afternoon.
