
Gloria T. Jaccarino, 85, of Ridgefield, formerly of Redding, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Richard W. Jaccarino.
Gloria was born on April 19, 1930 in Stamford, CT; a daughter of the late Vito and Immacolata (Ferri) Telesco, she was the youngest of four children. Gloria was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph DeBartolo, with whom she shared a 25-year marriage and four children, and her grandson Jordan O’Connell.
Gloria was the prior owner of Classic Cleaners of Georgetown, CT. Gloria was a longtime resident of Stamford, CT, Redding, CT and Cape Cod, with a home in Eastham, MA. A Master Gardener, and avid baker, she will be remembered as a bright shining light in the various communities, clubs, and churches she served.
Those that knew Gloria, benefitted from a lifetime of creativity in her kitchen. She invested her time, energy and caring in all of those who surrounded her, with a keen focus on her beloved grandchildren.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard and by her children: Joseph DeBartolo of Danbury, CT, Debra and her husband Peter Hayes of Ridgefield, CT, Jodi and her husband Dennis O’Connell of Ridgefield, CT and Mary DeBartolo of Orleans, MA.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Brittany Ruane and her husband Jim, Michael DeBartolo, Joe Hayes and his wife Erin, Christopher Hayes, Kate Hayes, Dennis O’Connell, Kevin O’Connell, Jonathan O’Connell, Will King, Thomas King and Justin King as well as two great grandchildren; Grant Peter Hayes and Sydney Ruane.
In addition to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Gloria is survived by her three sisters, Ann Cirone, Carmela Nicoletti and her twin, Nancy Palmieri, and four stepsons Steven Jaccarino, Timothy Jaccarino, Ricky Jaccarino and Peter Jaccarino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 9:30 AM in St. Patrick Church; 169 Black Rock Turnpike, Redding. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenwich. Friends will be received on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.
