With the caucuses completed and the election less than three months away, it is important for voters to have a greater understanding of the candidates.
Let me start by communicating why I am proud to call Redding my home (the reasons are in no particular order): people, open space, small town values, concerts on the green, community center activities, high-quality schools, community garden, community-wide events held by the library and other local not-for-profit organizations, and the proximity to my employer and amenities.
I decided to run for the Board of Finance because I care deeply about the community and want to be a part of its prosperous future by working with town leaders. I am a certified public accountant and have served in an accounting and finance role on Boards of Directors for various not-for-profit organizations. My 20+ years of accounting experience would be fully utilized if elected.
My primary goals would be to manage resources prudently, respect the taxpayers limited ability to fund expenditures, further the Town’s commitment to educational excellence while maximizing the value of each tax dollar, and commit to the conservation of open space.
If elected to the Board of Finance, I promise to work hard and put the best interest of Redding residents at the forefront of my decisions. Thank you.
