In today’s deeply polarized world of U.S. politics, Reds and Blues increasingly view the other as enemies—or, at the extreme, demons. Polarization even threatens to tear us from family and friends. In response, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church is hosting a Braver Angels workshop titled Depolarizing Within on Sunday, March 23, 2-5 p.m., in the church’s North Hall, 353 Main St. Braver Angels is a grassroots non-partisan movement whose mission is to bridge the political divide and strengthen our democratic republic. Its Depolarizing Workshop teaches participants to look at their attitudes towards the political “other” and develop strategies for political engagement without demonizing. The event is free.
