Downtown Sandy Hook Merchants Celebrate Spring with S.H.O.P. Spring Fling Block Party

Spring has sprung, flowers are in bloom and hope is in the air. The Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity is hosting a Spring Fling Block Party to celebrate the season. Join local merchants and entertainers on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 11:00a.m. until 4:00p.m. in beautiful Sandy Hook Center, for a day of food, friends and fun.

Foodies will delight in all the scrumptious samplings of the many food vendors offering free samples and specials. Music lovers’ toes will be tapping to the sounds of two bands that will play classic and modern rock favorites. The two bands, Traveling Danburys and The Choir Boys, will usher in the spring season with many genres and styles of music that is family-friendly and fun. 

Local businesses will have a wide variety of specials and activities for shoppers to enjoy. Kids and families will love free hot dogs and Pepsi at Sandy Hook Deli, free snow cones, karaoke and crafts at the S.H.A.C.K., a coloring contest and $5.00 hair feathers at Fun Kuts/ Fun Consignments and a raffle at The Toy Tree.

Wine connoisseurs can sample new spring selections at Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor’s wine tasting.  The Iron Bridge is rolling out a new special spring menu featuring their "Springtini." At The Villa, grab 2 slices and a beer or a soda for just $5.00. Figs is serving a special light menu and The Hook will be sharing food samples of friend dough, eggplant, pizza and salad.
