The Nest Fall Fest at Joel Barlow High School

Want to enjoy a small two-town family-friendly fall festival, while also fostering community spirit, and supporting a good cause? The Barlow Community Enhancement Project (BCEP) invites everyone to come enjoy the Nest Fall Fest on the lawn at Joel Barlow High School on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The event is intended to foster community spirit while raising funds and awareness for the long overdue addition of a building to house ADA compliant bathrooms, team room, concession area and other much needed space. This clubhouse, called The Nest, will honor the late Jordan Wright and the late Phil Falcone, past sports coaches and champions of philanthropy in the community.

“The energy and excitement we’ve seen surrounding this project is a testament to both it's necessity and the community's supportive nature” says BCEP team member Alexis Bennett.

The event features food trucks, live music, vendors, fall photo opportunities, games and prizes, crafts, sports, and activities for all ages including a pet parade and pet costume contest, a corn hole tournament, a decorated pumpkin contest, inflatable obstacle course and jousting, pumpkin bowling, slime table, hair braiding, cookie decorating and more!

In an effort to showcase the numerous groups that help to make our small, “ordinary” Easton-Redding school district “extraordinary,” local nonprofits are being offered display space at no charge. This is an opportunity for organizations to connect not only with long-time residents, but also with the many new families that have moved into the area in the last three years.

“As a Barlow alum, I am thrilled to see the unity that has grown between Easton and Redding,” said BCEP team member, Seana Bedard. “And hosting an event at Barlow with members of Barlow’s administration, including Mike Santangeli, shows how much they care about including youth in events and opening the doors to Barlow’s campus to everyone in the community.”

More detailed information on The Nest Fall Fest, including the corn hole tournament and pet parade and costume contest, and links to registration forms for both non-profits and local vendors can be found on the website, TheNestatBarlow.com
