Grace Farms Foundation Accepting Space Grant Applications through May 15

Grace Farms Foundation is now accepting applications from not-for-profit organizations for its space grant program. The Foundation offers two types of space grants, small and large, differentiated by the number of people and spaces needed by the organization. Not-for-profits interested in applying for small space grants between July and December 2016 and large space grants in 2017, should submit an online application form located at gracefarms.org/for-good by May 15, 2016.

The Foundation offers space grants to support existing not-for-profit organizations that can leverage the physical structure, staff, and grounds of Grace Farms to succeed in meaningful work, advancing one or more of the Foundation’s core initiatives of nature, arts, justice, community, and faith.

In February, 42 not-for-profit organizations were offered gifts of space at Grace Farms, including program space, strategic meetings, and fundraisers. Space grants were offered to local, state and international organizations. “Organizations that have a direct impact on people’s lives are already bringing their work to Grace Farms and meeting each other. The possibilities for encouraging each other and collaborating are already beginning to take shape ,” said Sharon Prince, President of Grace Farms Foundation.

Future 5, a not-for-profit based in Stamford, Connecticut, was offered a two-day space grant to utilize Grace Farms’ West Barn classrooms with SMART Boards for tutoring students. Each day, the program included a break for lunch in the Commons.
“Being at Grace Farms completely changed the tone, spirit and energy of our math boot camp,” said Ellen Berube, Future 5 Director of Students. “From our lunches in the Commons to hours spent in the classroom in the West Barn, there was a sense of lightness and peace.”
