Meadow Ridge to Support Fairfield County House Annual Golf Tournament

Meadow Ridge, a Benchmark continuing care retirement community (CCRC), is supporting Fairfield County House’s annual golf outing today at Rockrimmon Country Club in Stamford. The tournament is one their largest fundraisers each year, raising money so that individuals can receive 24/7 hospice care at the House and find meaning and joy in their final days.

“Meadow Ridge and Fairfield County House share the belief that there is nothing more important than having meaningful human connections at every stage of life,” said Chris Barstein, executive director of Meadow Ridge. “I can’t think of a more worthy cause, and we couldn’t be more delighted to lend our support.”

Fairfield County House’s 10,000 square feet of space is comprised of six private bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and patio, and specially designed so that family members can come and go freely. There are also common rooms where visiting family members can meet together, a great room for gatherings, kitchen and dining room for family meals, meeting and family event rooms, and a children’s play area. The unique architectural design features lots of natural light as well as a sanctuary and gardens.

“We are grateful to Meadow Ridge and its residents for the support of our golf tournament. It’s strong community partnerships like this that allow us to continue our mission—providing professional and compassionate care in a warm and welcoming residence so that people can spend meaningful time with their loved ones at the end of life,” said Julia Portale, LMSW, executive director of Fairfield County House.
