Walk To Help Veterans Experiencing Homelessness

Help Veterans experiencing homelessness by joining the Step OUT For The Brave 40,000 Step Challenge. The event, presented by the Homes for the Brave organization, takes place at a location of your choice between Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 15. Visit https://www.homesforthebrave.org/stepout to sign up today, or to become a sponsor.

The challenge, which is the organization’s signature fundraiser, allows participants from across America, and even the world, to participate wherever they reside during the nine-day period. For just $40 you can help homeless Veterans one step at a time, and you’ll receive a drifit event shirt.

“Right now there are 40,000 homeless Veterans across our country. Whether you take one step or 40,000, we ask that you please join in this safe and impactful fundraiser that helps Veterans experiencing homelessness return to meaningful and productive lives,” said Vince Santilli, CEO/Executive Director of ABRI/Homes for the Brave.

A festive kickoff event will take place on Saturday, August 7th outside at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT, beginning at 9:00AM. The event is part of BPT200, a citywide celebration of Bridgeport's history and modern-day culture, cuisine, and colors.

Since 2002, Homes for the Brave has helped over 1,400 homeless individuals, mostly Veterans, to secure income, find safe and affordable housing, and make meaningful contributions to our community.
