Celebrate Earth Day in and around Redding

Redding residents take heed! Earth Day is this Sunday, April 22! There are a host of events and celebrations taking place in and around Redding that include outdoor concerts, local artisan exhibits, farmers’ markets, and community cleanup efforts - all dedicated toward bringing awareness to our environment and preserving our planet.

List of Earth Day Events in and around Redding:

EARTH DAY on Redding’s Town Green on Saturday,  April 21 from  9 am to 3 pm

Rain or shine! 

- Pick up gloves, vest and bags starting from 9am-12pm & receive your road assignment

- Drop off road trash by 2:45 pm

- Photo Op at 3 pm Bulb Exchange: 9 am-noon (bring one used bulb, get a new LED Bulb)

Keep Redding Green & Clean! Help pick up roadside litter around your town!

*FREE POPSICLE OR FUDGESICLE IN EXCHANGE FOR ROAD TRASH!

Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970, empowering Earth dwellers to take action: coordinate community cleanup efforts, plant a tree and take heed of environmental sustainability. “Today, the fight for a clean environment continues with increasing urgency, as the ravages of climate change become more manifest every day,” The Earth Day Network explains.
