The Glenn Miller Orchestra: In the Christmas Mood at The Ridgefield Playhouse on December 19

The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, the most popular and sought-after big band in the world today, brings their holiday show – In the Christmas Mood --  to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, December 19 at 7pm.

This show features holiday classics like “Sleigh Ride,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” alongside Miller staples including “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “Moonlight Serenade,” “In the Mood” and more! With its unique jazz sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time. The present Glenn Miller Orchestra – an 18-piece band --  was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, playing an average of 300 live dates a year all around the world. Nick Hilscher is the orchestra’s current music director.

This performance is part of Moffly Media Evening of Art, Wine & Jazz Series, the Holiday Series and is underwritten by Laurel Ridge Health Care Center. Join us in the lobby at 6:15pm for an Italian wine tasting by Pera Wines and an art exhibit by Clarice M. Shirvell!
