The Second Annual Mutt Strut Challenge to Take Place on Saturday, May 18 in Wilton and Norwalk

All Proceeds to Benefit the Norwalk River Valley Trail’s Expansion

Dogs and their humans are invited to the 2nd Annual Mutt Strut Challenge to support the Norwalk River Valley Trail on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Wilton and Norwalk, CT. Come out with your canine companions for some fresh air and fun, while raising money to extend and improve the Norwalk River Valley Trail! Festivities will take place simultaneously at both the NRVT Wilton Loop and along the trail at Mathews Park in Norwalk.

Walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to complete the challenge – a one mile hike. Or, pass on the challenge and enjoy a leisurely trail walk, great for people of all ages and people with disabilities. Strollers and bikers are welcome. Come as a family or form a company team and compete to raise funds for the NRVT. For each member of the team raising the most funds, Passage East Kennels will provide 2 free nights of boarding and a full service groom.

Plus, preserve your memories at the dog selfie station and enjoy food trucks and family-friendly activities. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends – both hound and human.

About the Norwalk River Valley Trail

The Norwalk River Valley Trail project aims to build 30 miles of trail connecting Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, Connecticut to Rogers Park in Danbury, passing through Wilton, Ridgefield, and Redding along the way. The NRVT is a 10 foot wide, handicap-accessible trail creating recreation opportunities for walkers, hikers, cyclists, kids and pets.  The NRVT offers a healthy transportation alternative to rail stations, schools, offices, and businesses. Currently, 8 miles of the trail have been completed with 3 more miles to be completed in 2019/2020.

The Norwalk River Valley Trail is a 501(c)(3) organization.
