Run STRONG and Avoid Injuries! OrthoConnecticut Doc at Ridgefield Library on Thursday!

Part of Ridgefield Library’s Noreen L. Papa Mothers Live Your Life series, OrthoConnecticut physician, Ross Henshaw M.D. will present “Running Strong to Avoid Common Injuries” this Thursday, March 12 beginning at 7pm at the Ridgefield Library.

Whether you are training for a marathon, Redding’s Run for the Cows, Danbury Animal Welfare Society's Run for the Animals, the Mother’s Day 5K favorite, Run Like a Mother, or simply looking to maintain your regular running routine, this talk will be informative. Dr. Henshaw, a Sports Medicine specialist, will make recommendations to help you keep your stride comfortable and injury-free. He will address the most common injuries plaguing runners today, discuss how to avoid them, and recommend what to do if you are already afflicted by pain. 

Dr. Henshaw is the former Chief of Orthopedics and Director of Sports Medicine at Danbury Hospital. During his extensive training, he was part of medical teams covering Yankee Stadium, the New York Mets, and the US Open Tennis and NCAA Men’s Lacrosse tournaments.
